G'day! I'm Paul and I'm the Owner, Founder and Lead Guide of Aussie Guide (in Israel).

Thanks for taking the time to allow me to tell you a bit about myself; Aussie Guide; my love for guiding, and all that is Israel.
​
In 1988, I visited Israel for the first time at age 15. From the moment I arrived, I knew, right there and then, that Israel was where I would end up living. ​
​​
I've now spent almost 25 years of my life in Israel and couldn't imagine living anywhere else.
​
I grew up in Melbourne, Australia, where I was part of Betar and the Zionist Youth Group scene. I spent my vacations at camps, attended seminars, and visited Israel on numerous leadership programs over the years. These early experiences have enabled me to impart my vast knowledge of everything Israel to my guests, (yes you are our guest and not just a tourist!), in an informal, experiential and fun manner, no matter what one’s age or background.
At the age of 39, I set out to change my career. I had worked for over 25 years in the restaurant and catering industry. Through the years I worked in 4 countries, across 4 continents and held every position possible including being a Private Chef and owning my own catering business!

By the way, my experience in the food industry and 15 years of living in Jerusalem also makes for a tasty and fun shuk tour through Machaneh Yehuda Market!

However, I felt it was time to move on, and becoming a Tour Guide in Israel was always a dream, but now I had the chance to turn it into a reality.

Today I'm ecstatic to say that I'm living that dream and absolutely love what I do. I feel truly blessed and privileged to be able to do what I love.
​
Guiding brings out my passion for Israel, in an entertaining, informative and hands-on way, and I make Israel’s rich history come alive with storytelling and extraordinary experiences!
By being on location with you, I can share the events of the past, tie them to the present and do my part to help build a better future.
I opened Aussie Guide (in Israel) in 2015, and today am proud of the amazing team of Aussie Guides, I've been blessed to build and offer to you for your Private Tours in Israel.
